The No. 3 Georgia men’s golf team will wrap up the regular season portion of its schedule this weekend with the 3M Augusta Invitational.
The Bulldogs will compete Saturday and Sunday at Forest Hills Golf Club. The team will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday on the par-72, 6,248-yard course.
Georgia will use a lineup of seniors Lee McCoy and Sepp Straka, junior Greyson Sigg, sophomore Zach Healy and freshman David Mackey.
McCoy, coming off a win at the Linger Longer Invitational, will look to defend his title from last year’s 3M Augusta Invitational. Should he win this weekend, McCoy would tie the school record for wins in a career. PGA Tour members Chris Kirk and Russell Henley each won seven events throughout their careers at Georgia.
“I feel really good about my game,” said McCoy. “I was really excited to be able to defend my title at the Linger Longer last week. Getting another chance to to that at Augusta is something that I really look forward to.”
Joining the Bulldogs and host Augusta will be Illinois, Texas, Pepperdine, New Mexico, Houston, Tennessee, South Florida, Central Florida, Kennesaw State, Virginia Tech, Presbyterian, Coastal Carolina and USC-Aiken.
The first round will open with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
