The Jones Cup Invitational begins today at Ocean Forest Golf Club on Sea Island

The prestigious Jones Cup Invitational gets under way today at Ocean Forest G.C. in Sea Island, GA.  In only its eighth edition, this tournament has become an important event in amateur golf, featuring top players from around the world.  In all 13 countries will be represented in the 54 hole event. 
Bulldogs in the field are junior Bryden Macpherson and sophomore Michael Cromie.

Jones Cup Invitational Begins Today

The Jones Cup Invitational begins play today at Ocean Forest Golf Club.  The Jones Cup is the first major amateur golf competition of 2011 and will include many of the players who are being considered for the 10 spots on the U.S. Walker Cup Team.  The 54 hole competition can be followed live at golfstat.com.
Current Bulldogs Hudson Swafford, Bryden Macpherson, Harris English and Russell Henley will be in the field as well as former Bulldogs, Jack Hall, Jeff Knox, Jason Hodges, and Butler Melnyk.
